An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a document that has been produced by an accredited assessor following a property inspection. It provides the property with an energy rating.
An energy rating is a property performance in terms of the energy used per square meter of floor area, energy efficiency based on fuel costs and environmental impact based on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
It provides a visual energy efficiency rating and a visual carbon emission (CO2) rating.
